After a brief hiatus to implement (successfully) the Elluminate Live course platform for LEEP, the blog is back and ready to go! This week’s Word of the Week comes to you courtesy of a ticket that we received here in the ITD office a couple of weeks ago concerning a bad cron job. Cron job, you say? Well, according to Wikipedia, a cron job is “is a time-based job scheduler in Unix-like computer operating systems.” It allows systems administrators to run jobs automatically at a given time. For more information, see <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cron>, <http://unixgeeks.org/security/newbie/unix/cron-1.html>, or simply Google “cron.” It will have you pondering “if I could only set up cron jobs for all of my papers this semester…” Enjoy!
