Champaign-Urbana Community Food Summit
Growing a local food system that supports healthy food for all
The inaugural Community Food Summit, originally scheduled for Tuesday, April 14, invites community health leaders, nonprofits, researchers, growers, distributors, and eaters invested in the long-term health of our community to address challenges and design solutions for creating a more equitable local food system. In order to help mitigate the impact of COVID-19 in our community, we are postponing this event until further notice.
We understand that now, more than ever, we need an equitable local food system that supports its most vulnerable members. We are exploring options for convening online so that we can collaborate to address challenges and design solutions that will move us closer to that goal.
If you are interested in contributing to this important effort, please complete the registration form. We will communicate with registrants as we develop plans to continue this important work together.
The Champaign-Urbana Community Food Summit is jointly hosted by Healthy Champaign County and the Interdisciplinary Health Sciences Institute at the University of Illinois, with workshop facilitation led by the U of I Siebel Center for Design.
