Abstract: Whisk.com is a smart food app that helps people decide what to eat through smart recommendations based on Machine Learning. The app is partnered with some of the world’s largest recipe publishers, grocery retailers and food manufacturers in the UK, US and Australia. Nick, the CEO and founder of Whisk, will provide a behind-the-scenes glimpse into Whisk’s Food Genome™ technology that helps map food relationships and connect digital food content to grocery retailers. Nick raised venture capital to fund Whisk after pitching the initial idea to Lord Sugar in the final of BBC’s The Apprentice 2012. Nick is a frequent industry speaker and has been featured in The Guardian, The Telegraph, BBC, Internet Retailing, Management Today, Food Manufacturer and The Next Web. Nick was recently awarded an honorary doctorate by Aston University.
