Graduate Students
We are interested in working with highly motivated students interested in studies of catalytic mechanisms and the design of improved catalytic materials. Well-prepared students will have undergraduate training in Chemical Engineering, other engineering disciplines, or Chemistry and prior experimental experience (although not necessarily in catalysis or surface science). We have several funded projects for 3-4 graduate students joining in Fall 2023! Admitted students to the Georgia Tech Chemical Engineering PhD program should contact Prof. Dave Flaherty at dwflhrty@illinois.edu.
Post-Doctoral Researchers
We have funded projects for 1-2 post-doctoral researchers! Interested candidates should contact Prof. Dave Flaherty at dwflhrty@illinois.edu about possible projects that would begin in Summer or Fall 2023. Candidates should include a cover letter, complete CV, and contact information for three references.
Undergraduate Students
We currently do not have any open positions for undergraduate researchers. If you would like to be considered for future openings, please email Prof. Dave Flaherty at dwflhrty@illinois.edu and include the following: 1) a cover letter explaining your interest in our group, 2) a current resume including prior research and work experiences, and 3) a copy of your transcript. A GPA of at least 3.5 is preferred. Undergraduate researchers spend a minimum of 12 hours per week working diligently in the lab.
