Financial Planning at Illinois
The Financial Planning Program at Illinois is a CFP® Board Registered Program. Our graduates are eligible to sit for the CFP® exam following graduation.
Our program has been established for over a decade and has deep roots across the financial services profession. Planning Illini excel in insurance, brokerage, institutional, and financial advising roles. Our students consistently shine and launch careers that align with their passions.
Our program offers students hands-on opportunities to engage with the financial planning industry, including our Financial Planning Club and national competitions. Our Financial Planning Career Day also provides a space for students from several universities to interact with dozens of companies from across the industry.
In 2024, our Financial Planning Program was ranked in the top nine nationally by WealthManagement.com! Congratulations, Planning Illini!
We also offer a number of resources for the public including the Land & Everything Else podcast, publicly-available courses related to topics in the financial planning world, professional certificates, and e-textbooks.
