Financial Planning Program

The Financial Planning Program at Illinois is a CFP® Board Registered Program. Our graduates are eligible to sit for the CFP® exam following graduation.

Our program is a decade old and has deep roots across the financial service profession. The Planning Illini excel in insurance, brokerage, institutional and financial advising opportunities.  Our students consistently shine and place in the finals in student competitions and end up in careers that match their passions.

Our program offers students hands-on opportunities to engage with the financial planning industry including our Financial Planning Club and competitions. Our Financial Planning Career Day also creates space for students from several universities to interact with dozens of companies from across the industry.

We also offer a number of resources for the public including the Land & Everything Else podcast, publicly-available courses related to topics in the financial planning world, professional certificates, and e-textbooks.
