I am a Ph.D. candidate in the Bioengineering department at the University of Illinois Urbana Champaign. I started my Ph.D. under the supervision of Prof. Dipanjan Pan (Ph.D., FRSC, FAHA) in Fall 2014.

I obtained my BSc and MSc from Sharif University of Technology in Iran in Materials science and engineering.

My research focus is to design and develop novel biomaterials and actuating their properties at the nanometer scale. I have special ties with my original training in materials engineering and am fascinated to apply my knowledge of materials for solving human diseases.

When outside the lab, I enjoy traveling, piecing together jigsaw puzzles, and hanging out with friends.
