I’m Eric R. Larson, faculty in Natural Resources and Environmental Sciences at the University of Illinois focused on freshwater ecology and conservation. You can find my full CV here. Major interests include:

1) Environmental DNA. I work closely with the Collaborative Conservation Genetics Laboratory and other researchers globally to study populations and communities with DNA collected from environmental samples.

2) Invasive Species. I extend long-term monitoring of invasive rusty crayfish (Faxonius rusticus) in lakes of the Midwest United States to understand the causes and consequences of biological invasions.

3) Conservation Biology. I study rare native species, including Pacifastacus crayfishes endemic to western North America, to inform their conservation and management.
