Instead of a traditional panel discussion, ECEC26 will try an fishbowl style discussion on day 2 to after lunch. There will be themed questions around the room during breakfast and lunch for you to discuss with your table mates and then bring those discussion points to full room during the fishbowl discussion.
What is a Fishbowl Discussion?
A fishbowl discussion is a moderated and structured discussion with the entire room. The chairs a positioned in concentric rings around the center ring where the “panelists” sit. We’ll start off the discussion with the keynote and invited speakers as panelists. At anytime, any audience member can come into the panelists circle and become a panelist taking an empty panelist chair and microphone. Panelists who are done speaking on a topic should move into audience chairs. The moderator will move through the themed questions that everyone will have been discussing throughout the conference or any other questions that may come up during the discussion.
