NOTE: This page contains a Content View named “Current Speakers” which will display anything tagged with both “Speakers” and the designated current year, which is 2023. As of this writing, the 2023 category is set the child of Current, and the 2022 category has been moved to become a child of the Archive category.

If you have a speaker who comes back for more than one event, keep all of their time Categories in their Post so that they will appear in both the Current schedule and the correct Archives. (For example, you could have a Speaker who participated in 2021, 2022, and 2023. By Categorizing them with 2021, 2022, and 2023, this Speaker would appear in the Current (2023) speaker list as well as category-based views of the 2021 and 2022 Archives.)

Categorizing your posts with event-date-based categories like “2022” (or “2022-Spring” and “2022-Fall” if it happens more than once a year) will allow you to move the entire event’s speaker collection from “Current” to “Archive” with two steps:

Update the Content View for this page to look for the next designated year or year-month combination (for example, from 2023 to 2024)
Change the previous event’s Category’s parent from Current to Archive (for example, Current/2023 to Archive/2023)
