Hotel Rooms

A block of rooms for the evenings of April 17-19, 2023, has been reserved at the I Hotel for $149 plus tax per night until March 17, 2023. To make reservations online, please visit the I Hotel’s Guest Room Block Booking Page, and use the group code: ECEC22 and password: d8n!F. If you call in for reservations, please indicate the resrvation is for the Emerging Contaminants in the Environment Conference and group code ECEC22 to receive the special rate. If there are no more rooms in the room block when you book, please email Elizabeth Meschewski (elm2@illinois.edu) to request more rooms.

Other hotels within walking distance to the conference include the Hilton Garden Inn, Homewood Suites by Hilton Champaign/Urbana and Holiday Inn Champaign.

Conference Space

ECEC23 will be at the I Hotel and Conference Center located at 1900 South First Street, Champaign, IL, 61820. The conference will take place in the Illinois Ballroom and the Humanities Room, which is across the hall from the Illinois Ballroom. Restrooms are located next to the Humanities room. There is free parking at the I Hotel and Conference Center.

Conference Center access:

• From the Parking Lot: The closest entrance to the conference rooms is from the North Entrance.
• From the Hotel Lobby: Go straight past the elevators and through the double doors to the conference center. Turn left into the hall between the Alma Mater Room and Leadership Boardroom. Turn left again when you see the conference center’s desk and the double doors to the North Entrance.

Note: The conference rooms at the I Hotel can be chilly. We recommend you dress in layers for comfort. Dress code for this conference is casual.
