Biography

Heath grew up involved in 4-H, raising pigs and cattle at his family’s farm.  He became interested in the Ellis Lab after he learned about the unique aspects of the program.  He enjoys being able to conduct research under commercial conditions and having the opportunity to work with a company that is diverse and well established in the industry.

Heath’s research focuses on environmental and nutritional factors.

Thesis Title Effects of distiller's dried grains with solubles (DDGS) and corn germ meal (CGM) on growth performance and carcass characteristics of growing-finishing pigs, and determination of the productive energy content of DDGS and CGM.
