Biography

Andres was born and raised in Duitama, Columbia, a small city where agriculture is the main source of income.  His passion for animal sciences started in high school when he began working with his uncle, who raises poultry.  He became interested in the Ellis Lab while working for Smithfield Premium Genetics and A.L.I.A.R.- La Fazenda in Columbia.  He was interested in doing nutrition research in a commercial setting in order to gain a better understanding of the industry.

Andres is focusing on the impact of nutrition on swine production performance under commercial conditions.
