Evaluation:
- Two in-class exams (25% each) 50%
- Final exam 35%
- In-class quiz 15%
- +/- grading will be used for the final course grade
Homework and in-class quizzes: Weekly homework allows students to practice the quiz problems. Homework is not graded, but there will be an in-class short quiz most Thursdays consisting of problems taken word for word from the homework problems. The lowest quiz grade will be dropped.
In-class Exams (tentative): Tuesday, October 3; Thursday, November 9.
Final Exam: Tuesday, December 19, 7:00-10:00 p.m.
All exams are closed-booked, closed notes. Calculators are allowed.
Formula Sheets. You may bring in one notesheet (8.5 by 11 both sides OK) for the first exam. Two for the second. Three for the final.
Make-up Exams. They may be administered orally at the Professor’s discretion.
