When writing is not your strong suit, you might think of it differently than other people. For me, writing has always been up and down. Sometimes I love to write and sometimes I do not. It all depends on what the topic is and what I have to incorporate into the essay.

Writing is something that can make me feel excited and happy or it can make me feel disappointed or stressed and anywhere in between. Essays or any type or writing can have ups and downs.

Suppose you have a really great topic and you are so excited to write about it then once you start writing, you are in a slump and can’t think of anything. Or say you have no idea what to write and you are very disappointed and stressed out about the topic and you actually realize that when you sit down and think about it, it might not be that hard.

The writing process is definitely a roller coaster of emotions whether it is getting ideas in your head or writing the first draft. There is excitement when you find a great topic or idea, infatuation when you think your essay is amazing, shock when you realize you have three more pages to go, the disappointed phase when you just want to quit, the maybe I should just keep going because my grade depends on it phase, and the final success phase when the draft is all put together.

There are so many emotions at the beginning, middle, and end of drafting one can experience. It would be shocking to see a writer be completely happy with everything they have written throughout the whole paper.
