The University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign’s purchasing environment is decentralized and a business representative needs to know who to contact in a campus unit to offer its goods and services. But knowing who to contact in a campus unit can be difficult and a barrier to doing business with the university.
The session will create a space for businesses to meet campus unit representatives with knowledge of the unit’s purchasing needs. This session’s objective is to help to connect business attendees to campus units whose purchasing activity may align with the business attendees’ goods and services. NIGP Commodity Codes purchased by campus units and offered by attending businesses will provide the basis for targeted networking between businesses and campus units.
