President: (filled)
- Provide leadership and serve as an ambassador on behalf of the club.
- Preside over club meetings and e-board meetings.
- Facilitate discussion, participation and encourage feedback at club meetings and events.
- Serve as a liaison to on/off campus organizations, campus student government and corporate affiliates.
- Work with board & committee members create events relevant to membership.
- Act as ex-officio member of the corporate/career advisory board.
- Confirm meeting rooms and times for events for the duration of the semester (including helpdesk request for virtual attendees).
- Register club each year as an RSO.
- Serve as the primary point of contact on behalf of the club and delegate as necessary.

- Watch over the committee system and assist committee chairs.
- Assist the president when needed.
- Preside over weekly club meetings in the absence of the president.
- Attend all meetings of the project committee as a counselor and ex-officio member.
- Attend iSchool student government meetings.
- Coordinate and represent club at relevant events.
- Serve as chair of the outreach committee and volunteer manager.
- Attend the club’s board of directors meetings.
- Talk to prospective members of the Data Science Club, and help them decide whether or not to join.
- Conduct an educational program for new members.
- Work with the new vice-president and help him/her prepare to take over your job next year.
- Maintain a club calendar (may overlap with secretary).
- Nominate members for relevant iSchool and campus awards.
- Maintain a list of affiliates of departments and clubs on campus that we should interact with on a regular basis.

- Record attendance at meetings and report monthly attendance figures.
- Make sure that attendees are signed up on the email list and that a sign in sheet is taken at every meeting/event.
- Submit meeting announcement to all iSchool calendars and iSchool mailing lists (this may overlap with communications chair) by the appropriate deadline and well in advance. 7-14 days.
- Maintain minutes of club, board, and committee meetings.
- Work with incoming secretary to ensure smooth transition.
- Report meeting minutes via web presence.
- Maintain template for cut and paste for post meeting announcements.
- Send thank you notes to presenters, panelists sponsors and volunteers.
- Maintain a list of supporters to be thanked and posted on the club website for each semester.
- Maintain RSO paperwork and ensure annual registration.
- Make sure deadlines for events, CFPs, are on club calendar.
- Post volunteer opportunities to interact with prospective iSchool students interested in Data Science.

- Gather material for and help edit a club newsletter. See that a bi-weekly club newsletter is produced.
- Maintain a contact list of key stake holders and interested parties that the newsletter goes out to including but not limited to:
- All iSchool , Campus and related department outlets, off campus media when necessary.
- Design graphic materials or appoint a volunteer to create collateral.
- Seed content and discussions on social media accounts.
- Create a social media policy.
Archivist/Historian (LEEP student preferred)(Vacant)
- Archive relevant materials as needed with iSchool
- Create a digital repository
- Maintain a timeline of events/history for the club
Technologist(Webmaster) (LEEP student preferred)(Vacant)
- Maintain the club website, update widgets and software as needed.
- Maintain an active list of social media web accounts and security access.
- Assist with set up of electronic accounts, digital repository, wiki.
Wiki manager (LEEP student preferred)(Vacant)
- Serve as primary content manager of wiki
- Curating content and organizing wiki pages
- Create appropriate metadata and hashtags for wiki.
Elections/Nominations Chair:(Vacant)
- Manage the elections and nominations process.
- Work with president to coordinate transition training.
- Ensure election and voting materials are updated annually.
- Maintain position description and ensure they are up to date.

Case Studies, Poster Sessions, Competitions, Conferences.

- Spearhead the reading group
- Maintain a reading list via a service like zotero,etc
- Coordinate meeting and selection of materials for the reading group
