Robotics Demonstration Session

 

The Annual CSL Student Conference invites students and researchers to exhibit their work on robots and related hardware in an event designed on the lines of a poster session. This half-day session consists of multiple simultaneous demonstrations by different participants while the attendees walk around to view and discuss their work.

Each group must bring in their hardware and have some sort of demonstration prepared. This could range from showing the functionality of a novel sensor or actuator to demonstrating some algorithm implemented on a purpose-built or off-the-shelf robotic platform. Participants could use the Flight Arena with the Vicon motion capture system, should their demonstration require a large open space and/or precise state estimation.

This session provides a platform for students across the campus to gain exposure for their research and to disseminate and exchange ideas. The aim is to stimulate interaction among researchers and hopefully foster a close bond in the robotics community of our university.

Event Details

The Robotics Demonstration Session is scheduled for February 28th, 2020 from 12:00 noon to 2:00 p.m. and will be hosted at CSL Studio (1st floor of the parking garage opposite to NCSA). Demonstrations are arranged primarily in Room 1232.

The session is open to everyone and is a great opportunity to connect with robotics researchers at UIUC. Lunch will also be provided! See below for the exact location of the venue:
