Addressing Community Needs

CO+RE is a pilot program that unites Illinois researchers and community members to address the needs and interests of Urbana-Champaign communities through sustainable, equitable partnerships.

Arts CO+RE Grants

Arts CO+RE, an outgrowth of the inaugural CO+RE Program, extends our interest in community-directed and -responsive practices for engaging local youth and adults in the generative and creative practice of the arts. Arts CO+RE is focused on the multiple ways artists see and engage in creative practice as research; it is intended specifically for arts practitioners and researchers.

2021 Arts CO+RE Research Projects Selected

Three projects were recently awarded Arts CO+RE funding to create opportunities for engaging local youth and adults in the arts and amplifying partnerships between UIUC researchers and artists and community members.
