I am an Assistant Professor at UIUC, in the Mechanical Science & Engineering Department.
We work to tackle challenges at the intersection of industrial and environmental applications in the field of fluid mechanics. I aim to develop capabilities for the simulation of multiphase/complex flows, fluid-structure interaction, and data-driven techniques for turbulence. Achieving a fundamental understanding(using numerical simulations and theoretical approaches) of the complex dynamics associated with fluid flows and embedding this knowledge into numerical-codes/reduced-order-models (via data-driven techniques) to achieve efficient and reliable predictions of flow characteristics.
