Solving Connectivity Bottlenecks for Efficient Data Centers

Abstract: This talk will highlight the crucial role of connectivity in high-performance computing systems within data centers, focusing on how it constrains performance and energy efficiency. I will also explore several research directions to overcome these connectivity challenges to improve data center operations’ overall efficiency and scalability.

Bio: Pavan Hanumolu is an Electrical and Computer Engineering Professor at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. His research focuses on energy-efficient wireline communication links and integrated power management circuits. He is an IEEE Fellow and a former Editor-in-Chief of the IEEE Journal of Solid-State Circuits.
