Biography

Lauren Reilly grew up with a love of animals and always knew she would turn her passion into a career. She started working with animals in high school, inspiring her to study Animal Sciences at the U of I. During her undergraduate years, she interned at the Champaign County Humane Society and as an Undergraduate Laboratory Assistant in an immunophysiology and behavior lab. After graduation, she worked as a veterinary assistant in a mixed practice focusing on companion animals, large animals, and wildlife medicine. She is now working towards her Ph.D. with Dr. Maria R.C. de Godoy and is excited to expand her knowledge in the field of companion animal nutrition and for her future career in the pet food industry.
