Lab Safety Walkthrough

  1. All new lab members must complete a lab safety walkthrough with the group LSO before commencing research.
  2. LSO’s should fill out the Laboratory Safety Training packet for each researcher during the walkthough and keep a copy in their lab safety binder.
    1. The Laboratory Safety Training packet has three parts:
      1. SCS Documentation
      2. DRS Documentation
      3. New Lab Member Safety Walkthrough Checklist

  3. LSO should customize the Laboratory Safety Training packet for hazards/rules specific for your group by editing the portions highlighted in yellow.

    2. This template will occasionally be updated with new information from DRS; LSOs will be notified when that occurs (last updated on 10/24/17).
