Marie is deeply committed to advocating for dual and unconventional careers, empowering students and people from all generations to embrace their passion aside of their job, regardless of how demanding it might be.
As professionally trained classical pianist herself, she graduated from the Conservatory of Music in France with the highest honors in 2013, the same year she earned her M.S. and M.Eng. degrees. She then continued as advanced studies at the Rainier III Music Academy in Monaco with Mark Sole-Leris (in the Italian tradition) and with Lithuanian concert pianist Muza Rubackyte at the Russian Conservatory of Music in Paris. She is a prize winner in international competitions and has played over 50 solo recitals in 10 countries. Her repertoire spans from baroque music to contemporary, including large Russian and German romantic masterpieces and a broad selection of French music (Debussy, Ravel).
In France there is no notion of a music minor, as the Conservatory of music is its own independent entity. Marie managed her music studies after school, committing 3 hours of her time to music every evening since she was 15. This includes music theory, formal analysis, solfege, piano, and chamber music. Discipline and sustained commitment are key to maintaining this level of playing.
Since 2024, she has started a series of international initiatives to raise awareness of such careers, with events in Canada, the USA and Europe. Stay tuned for more developments soon!
