Miriam Keep studies in the MA in Urban Planning program, where she focuses on housing policy and international planning. She is most interested in studying the impact of urban renewal policies on marginalized communities.  She is writing her master’s thesis on the development of new cities as a strategy to alleviate the housing deficit in Morocco’s largest cities. She plans to use Arabic to conduct research with the multiple stakeholders involved in the planning of Morocco’s new cities and explore the forms of displacement these new cities produce.
