Ashley Adams is a dual masters student in African Studies and Community Health. With a particular interest in examining global health through a gender lens, she has been able to integrate both passions into her research of international sexual and reproductive health. Her master’s thesis focused on trends in Tanzanian women’s reproductive behaviors from 1996-2016. She has been studying Swahili for the past 6 years to better facilitate cultural understanding through language and area studies. She plans to pursue her doctoral degree in Public Health and would like to continue to utilize her Swahili language skills in both her future research and career.
