There are many flavors of eLearning and leveraging any of them, initially and especially on your own, can be a daunting task. To assist you, the eLearning Office consists of a number of eLearning professionals skilled in the areas of:

• Program administration and strategy
• eLearning pedagogy
• Webpage design and best practice
• Online tools
• Media use and development
• Accessibility

Consulting Options

Open Consulting during the week before and during first week of the Fall 2019 semester

During the Week of August 19 and the Week of August 26, staff from the eLearning Office at Gies College of Business will be hosting a “Welcome and Consulting” table in the BIF Atrium. At this event, you can:

• get assistance, like the 30+ College faculty each semester historically have, with creating an Illinois Compass course site (powered by Blackboard Learn) for your class
• brainstorm ideas about Flipping, Blending, or going 100% online with your teaching
• view examples of faculty efforts from the Gies College of Business related to use of Media, innovative pedagogy, and other eLearning areas
