The next scheduled maintenance for Publish.Illinois.edu will take place on February 18, 2026 starting at 10pm. During this maintenance cycle, we will deprecate plugins that are no longer in use or supported on the Publish.Illinois.edu service. Supported plugins will be updated. There is no downtime expected.
We recommend that you test the changes on your site(s) in our Publish test environment before 02/18/26! – The Test-Publish environment has been updated to include the changes that are set to occur on 02/18/26. You can preview these changes, as they will appear in Production-Publish, now by visiting Test.Publish.Illinois.edu (VPN connection required). Note: the Test-Publish environment was synced with data from 02/09/2026.

Announcing the next maintenance event: The next maintenance for Publish.Illinois.edu is tentatively scheduled for February 25, 2026. We plan to upgrade the Publish service to WordPress version 6.9.1 and more; we’ll share more information closer to the date. The test environment (test.publish.illinois.edu) will be refreshed on 02/19/26.
