Symposium on Bilingualism

The Bilingualism Focal Point group at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign is please to announce that it will be hosting an Interdisciplinary Symposium on Bilingualism on May 3rd, 2014 that will take place at the Levis Faculty Center.

The Bilingualism Focal Point group is an interdisciplinary research group that seeks to bring together faculty and graduate students across campus to engage in a more integrated and multidisciplinary way with the complex nature of the bilingual mind, bilingual behavior, and bilingual societies. The symposium will be gathering experts in Bilingual Acquisition, Sociolinguistics and Speech Processing Systems who will be presenting their most recent work and will be conducting a Panel Discussion relating to each other’s fields. Our Interdisciplinary Symposium on Bilingualism seeks to gather all these interdisciplinary work encouraging students and faculty members to submit their abstracts for poster presentations on ongoing research representative in the field of to Bilingualism.
