Proposals

We invite you to submit original and creative proposals that help improve the ways that we think about global mental health and community wellbeing. The deadline for proposal submissions is extended to June 30, 2026.

We welcome a wide range of submissions, including traditional scholarly abstracts as well as creative formats such as artwork, poetry, music, short films, digital storytelling, and other multimedia presentations. To increase accessibility and accommodate our global partners, this year’s conference will be held fully online.

This conference aims to create a collaborative space where people with lived experience, caregivers, community members, artists, advocates, service providers, traditional healers, and researchers can learn from one another. We encourage proposals that connect ideas to practice and highlight voices that are often left out of global mental health conversations.

The theme of this year’s conference is Building Resiliency. We are interested in both creative and critical ideas about how people, communities, and systems stay strong and support wellbeing during hard times. Submissions may focus on research, professional practice, teaching, policy, or personal and community experiences.
