The Be A Quitter project is a collaborative effort between the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and University of Illinois Extension. The project is designed to provide Illinois residents and Illinois businesses a proven tobacco cessation program, all at no cost to the individual or the business.

The Be A Quitter project is affiliated with the Illinois United initiative. Illinois United is designed to provide a digital home for translational research focused on the health and well-being of families throughout the state of Illinois.

The project is led by Dr. Allen Barton, an Assistant Professor and Extension Specialist in Human Development & Family Studies at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
