- Take unobstructed photos of individual ticks from top and bottom against a light, solid colored background
- Make sure all body parts and texture are visible
- Use well lit area
- Include location information where tick was recovered, date of recovery, habitat (e.g. attic, barn, tree roost) and your preferred contact information
