If you are a wildlife exclusion professional – when you get notified of a bat roost, please look for bat ticks in the roost space. This type of tick is typically near or in the roost area, or on the bats. Following bat removal, they could look for another host, possibly the humans living there. If you find bat ticks, please either take photos or collect the ticks for submission.

If you are a bat biologist – keep your eye out for ticks on bats when mist netting. If you find one, please either take photos or collect the ticks for submission.
