On Wednesday, March 20 2019, we will upgrade to Moodle 3.4. We will experience downtime between 6 am and 9 am while performing the upgrade.
Note: Typically, we would like to perform one upgrade in May and one in December/January — however, this year, we are performing an additional upgrade in March. If you have any questions or concerns please contact us at atlas-tlt@illinois.edu

- Increasing Usability
- More efficient user management: “Enrolled Users” and “Participants” pages merged to allow bulk editing, deleting, filtering, etc.
- Mark activities complete: Instructors can manually mark activities as complete or incomplete on behalf of learners in Activity Completion
- UI Text Export: Groups are now a point of date for exporting information
- Extra credit checkbox available when adding a grade item
- Assignment grading: “Save and show next” button available in grading interface
- Application Catalogue (AppCat) added: A new icon (gray cat) available to link to other applications across campus
- Improvement to Calendar management
- Blackboard Collaborate Ultra plug-icon will now be orange to distinguish it from the Collaborate Ultra LTI icon which is purple (this will aid in transitioning all courses to the LTI)
* The Moodle 3.4 feature mentioned in the release notes that allows for activity navigation with “Previous” and “Next” links and a jump-to menu for navigation between activities is not available on our Moodle instance.
