Observatory Open House

On the 1st Friday of each month, the University of Illinois Astronomical Society holds free open houses at the campus observatory (map). Visitors have the opportunity to gaze through the original 12″ refracting telescope, as well as several smaller scopes. In addition, astronomers will be on hand in the observatory to answer questions and discuss astronomy related topics. Additional information about these events can be found here. If it is cloudy, there will not be observing, but there will still be activities inside the observatory.
