Why attend Industry Visits?

There are a wide variety of positions available within the Food Industry. Notable examples include Research and Development, as well as Food Safety/Quality Assurance. In Research and Development (R&D), products are designed, created and fine-tuned before making their way to the consumer. In Food Safety/Quality Assurance (FSQA), those in the industry work directly in the production process to ensure that products are both consistent and safe to consume.

AFT hosts regular information sessions with representatives from various companies within the Food Industry. These sessions are a great way to network, learn about job/internship opportunities and to expand one’s knowledge of the industry. Visits will be held either in Bevier Commons or through Zoom. Links will regularly be posted to both this website and @AFTUIUC on Instagram.
