Hello!

My name’s Ashvini Malshe and I’m a junior at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. I study Media Communication and Spanish Cultural Studies, which is time-consuming. My love of TV knows no bounds.

The purpose of this blog is to compile sample blog posts I made that analyzed various television shows and characters (and their intersectionalities) during my time in GWS 356 (Sex, Gender, and Media), fall semester of junior year. This compilation is for career/social media purposes, to provides samples of my work for relevant audiences.

The two blog posts I have chosen, I believe, showcase my strengths as a writer and and media student. One analyzes the television show, Shadowhunters, and the other analyzes a popular podcast called Guys We F****d. I delved into their respective importances to the current media landscape and discussed how they choose to represent minorities.
