The research group was excited to welcome Dan Stephenson to the UIUC Campus yesterday to share his insights as the Chief of the Division of Fisheries at the Illinois DNR.  After presenting as a guest lecturer in Dr. van Riper’s class, Mr. Stephenson met with the students working in Dr. Suski’s and Dr. van Riper’s labs, many of whom are engaged in fisheries-related research. It was a great opportunity to hear a seasoned biologist’s perspective on Asian carp control, sport fishing, and future directions for the Illinois DNR.
