International Seed Grant

Dr. Amengual was awarded an International Seed Grant from the ACES Office of International Programs.  Seed grants are funded through the Arlys Conrad Endowment Fund to promote strong relationships between ACES faculty and International faculty.  His project is titled “towards the development of a mouse model to study the implications of Lipin-2 in atherosclerosis” He will be working with faculty in Spain.

PhD student Johana Coronel won an award for her outstanding presentation at the Virtual International Conference on Carotenoids this week.  Her talk was entitled “Regulation of Plasma Cholesterol by β-Carotene and β-Carotene Oxygenase 1 in mice”
