The Center for Latin American and Caribbean Studies is pleased to host the 47th Annual Midwest Conference on Andean and Amazonian Archaeology and Ethnohistory. The meeting will take place on Saturday, March 2 and Sunday, March 3, 2019, with a keynote talk by Dr. Rodolfo Cerron-Palmino to take place on Saturday at 5:00 pm followed by a reception at Guido’s in Champaign.

Deadline Extended!! Abstracts should be limited to 200 words and are due by 11:59 pm CST on February 5th.

For those interested, on Friday, March 1st we will be hosting an informal workshop at  the Krannert Art Museum focused on evaluating KAM’s collection of ancient Andean artifacts.  The workshop will be held from 12:00 – 5:00 pm.  If you would like to attend, please indicate your interest on the registration form. There will also be an informal gathering at Quality Beer (110 N. Neil Street, Champaign) starting around 7:00 pm on Friday evening.
