It can be hard to identify and access services for young children with autism. In this project, we developed navigators (parents of autistic children from low-resourced communities) to support families of young (aged 3-5) children with autism from low-resourced communities in Cook County. We also developed an app to help families identify needed services and receive referrals. We are conducting a randomized controlled trial (RCT) to determine if access to a navigator and an app helps children with autism access services.
