For the first assignment revision, I decided to take a look at my lowest grades for critical responses and the “Synthesizing My Sources” one was the incredibly low compared to my other ones. Once I reread my response, I realized that it made no sense. The beginning paragraph was plagiarized, horrible judgement call on my behalf, and after I met with you, I changed that in all my essays. Even though I understand what it means and it sounds more intelligent, those are not my words. I described “Medical Marijuana Inc.” in words that could make sense to anyone, not just someone researching the company. I kept my analysis the same because in your comments, you acknowledged that it was a good analysis. For the second source, I rewrote the entire paragraph. I did not introduce my source at all and even labeled it as “this source.” There was no way a person could read this and have it make sense unless that person was me. In the second paragraph I talked about the findings that researchers have made regarding the link between recreational use of marijuana and IQ scores dropping. Other than the major changes I made, I also fixed the tense of “bias” that I’ve been using and minor grammar errors that I caught along the way.
