Abbreviations
Provide means of formatting selected text as an abbreviation (abbr).
Languages
Additionally, we need to provide a means of formatting selected text as being in a different language (span for fragment in an existing element, otherwise on the entire element if all has been selected) and what language it is. Might need language direction as well… not sure if it’s inferred by language in HTML5.
