I’m an Associate Professor in the Department of Earth Science & Environmental Change here at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Before coming to UIUC, I got my PhD and MS from the University of Arizona, Dept. of Geosciences. Before that, I attended Carleton College in Northfield, MN where I majored in geology. When I’m not geologizing, I enjoy riding mountain bikes (there are some surprisingly good trails in central IL), playing ultimate, reading books, and Chicago sports.
