We are looking for a postdoc with expertise in molecular biology and protein purification to work on a one year project funded by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation Grand Challenges.
Seeking a highly qualified individual to spearhead the development of a novel method for identification and sequencing of mobile genetic elements. The selected candidate will work at the Carl R. Woese Institute for Genomic Biology at the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign jointly with Drs. Patrick Degnan and Rachel Whitaker. Candidates should have a Ph.D. in Microbiology, Genetics, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology or related field, and have demonstrated research experience/training in molecular biology techniques.
