WeGoCEE (Women Exploring Graduate Opportunities in Civil and Environmental Engineering) is a professional development and networking workshop focused on introducing womxn undergraduate students to civil and environmental engineering graduate education and research opportunities. The workshop focuses not only on career paths through academia, but also in industry.

This year, WeGoCEE is going virtual! The free virtual event held over two half-days includes seminars and panel discussions on topics like preparing for and applying to graduate school, funding graduate school, and career pathways post-grad. The workshop is a unique opportunity for junior and senior undergraduate students to learn about how to prepare for graduate education, as well as to learn about the CEE at Illinois graduate program. We are excited to announce this year’s keynote speaker is Dr. Kimberly Jones, Professor and Chair of Civil and Environmental Engineering and the Associate Dean for Research and Graduate Education in the College of Engineering and Architecture at Howard University.
