You must attend training sessions in the spring to copy edit for the journal.
LIGHT COPY EDITOR
- Edits the article for light grammatical errors and general MLA style
- Edits the article for clarity while preserving the author’s voice
- Responsible for querying the author and managing editor about complicated edits
CITATION COPY EDITOR
- Verifies the accuracy of quotations
- Ensures the reference list and in-text citations adhere to MLA rules
- Cross-checks bibliography with in-text references
