Re:Search is looking for an assistant formatting editor

Re:Search, The Undergraduate Journal of Literary Criticism at The University of Illinois is looking to hire an assistant formatting editor who would be responsible in working closely with the Formatting Editor (Journal Technician) in producing the Final layouts of both the Print and Online versions of the Journal. This is a great opportunity for those interested in publishing, as they would be getting first-hand experience on putting together an academic journal. Peer Reviewing info session today!

Reminder that peer reviewing info session is today at 5:30 pm in room 125 of the EB! Serving as a peer-reviewer is not only a great resume booster, but you get to contribute to the process of putting a journal together, and your name gets included in the acknowledgements page. We’ll have cookies too!

Peer Review Volunteers Needed!

Thank you to everyone who submitted proposals! We are now looking for volunteers to serve as peer reviewers, aiding in the selection process. Peer Review workshop is this Thurs. at 5:30 p.m. in EB 125! You can serve as a peer reviewer even if you submitted a proposal! If you’re interested in publishing, peer reviewing is a great way to gain experience with one of the many essential steps of putting a journal together. Not only is it a great resume booster, but your name gets included in the Acknowledgments. 

 

Regarding proposal format

Hello everyone! It’s been brought to our attention that the Call for proposals says the proposal should be double-spaced, but OJS checklist says it should be single-spaced, thus we will be accepting both formats without penalty. Our apologies for any inconvenience. We look forward to receiving your proposals!

Hello! If you’re submitting a proposal, it’s crucial that you submit it through the Online Journal System. Attached are instructions on how to register for OJS. Please do so under “authors”. You’ll really only need your Netid and password. Go to “login” on the right side of the page. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us! Proposals are due on Nov. 4 at 11:59 p.m.!
