Starting tomorrow Monday, March 16th the ARC will be open from Noon – 5 pm. This schedule will be in place INDEFINITELY.
As a result, there will not be any scheduled in-person Taekwondo at UIUC club practices until further notice.
I’ll make sure to share some additional training links on social media for those that want to stay active.
Thank you for your understanding and patience through this ever-changing circumstance.
I understand the uncertainty of the COVID-19 situation is challenging for everyone. As a result, during Spring Break (March 14 – 21) there will not be any Taekwondo at UIUC club training practices.
According to Campus Recreation, after Spring Break club sports practices can continue as our club has a small membership (less than 50 people). However, we will forego for now the traditional handshake at the end of free sparring matches and take other precautions. Also, I ask that all instructors and students refrain from coming to class if they are experiencing any symptoms at all. If Campus Rec changes guidelines and close facilities we will follow their guidance and not hold in-person classes until further instructed.
Finally, the March 28th University of Wisconsin Madison black belt evaluation was postponed until later in the year.
Enjoy your Spring Break and Stay Healthy!
Congratulations to our newest white belts Youheng, Majid & Meba! Also, congrats again to Michaela – welcome to the #TaekwondoAtUIUC club.
As announced in class, our club trains year-round so we will have training over Spring Break for those that will be in the C-U area next week.
