The Co-Corricular Component

At SILMW, the learning experience takes place in and beyond the classroom. Students will participate in a wide array of integrated, daily activities while at U of I. The goal of the co-curricular activities is to give students an opportunity to reinforce the language skills they acquire in the classroom, and become culturally competent in the target language.

Weekly co-curricular activities (attended jointly with U of I students):

Monday: Cultural presentations

Tuesday: Arabic conversation table

Wednesday: Arabic movie night

Thursday: Arabic cooking workshop
