NPRE/ENVS 101 Introduction to Energy Sources still has seats remaining in lecture section A – students can register for the stand alone lecture, the lab-disc sections are optional.

NPRE/ENVS 101 Introduction to Energy Sources
CRN:  34624 (NPRE 101) or 34667 (ENVS 101)
Credit: 3 hours
Explanation of energy technologies using an elementary approach presupposing no prior scientific or technical background. Coverage of all energy sources including fossil fueled, solar, hydro, and nuclear power. Integral demonstrations and a tour of the University’s power plant. Discussion of energy related incidents with emphasis on environmental, economic, and social impact.
This course satisfies the General Education Criteria for a
UIUC: Quant Reasoning II course , and UIUC: Physical Sciences course
